Yesterday's Opinions - 5/13/09

Yesterday the Court handed down one published opinion in the following case:

PD-1616-07, Edward Esparza v. State: A unanimous CCA reversed the denial of DNA testing in an aggravated sexual assault case. Just because the victim stated that she'd had sex two days before the crime doesn't mean that a DNA result attributed to an unknown third party would be dismissed as the unrelated consensual sexual encounter.
